The Pledge

The Pledge: I pledge to attend my Iowa precinct caucus on January 14, 2008. I will only caucus for a candidate who supports a significant shift in federal budget priorities away from nuclear and other obsolete Cold War weapons toward unmet social needs including education, health care, and energy independence.

By signing a pledge card or signing up online, they promise to attend your local caucus and support a candidate who has endorsed the idea of providing more money for education, health care, renewable energy research, and other social needs by cutting Pentagon waste.  According to the political experts, if enough Iowans take the pledge, the Presidential candidates will be forced to take this issue seriously.

The Caucus for Priorities Campaign has already passed our original goal of 8,000 pledgers and we are well on our way to 10,000.

The media (Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina) and the cadidates are taking note and many of the candidates are coming on board. This campaign is working. Become a part of it by taking the pledge or by helping us question the candidates or just help out where ever you can. To see where the candidates stand on National Budget Priorities, click here.

The Caucus for Priorities Campaign will be endorsing a candidate for President on November 9th, 2007.

Caucus4Priorities has exceeded it original goal of attaining 8,000 Pledge
